Kevin is often the lone voice of reason on the Town Council. Repeatedly voting against escalating budgets, Kevin is focused on making Scotch Plains more affordable without losing our great quality of life in town. |
- An advocate for fiscal responsibility and eliminating waste, Kevin wants to cut duplicative and wasteful administrative costs insuring that we are getting the most value for our tax dollars. He supports sharing services with nearby towns to reduce municipal operating costs.
- A supporter of local community events, he led the successful effort to save the 2010 Cultural Art Summer Concert Series by partnering with local businesses. He is devoted to addressing and supporting the recreation and social needs of all our citizens.
- Kevin is a Facilities Management expert who advises businesses on real estate needs. He has volunteered and supported local Houses of Worship with their fundraising efforts and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Managers for the Runnells Specialized Hospital in Union County. He and his wife of 37 years, Joanne, have two sons – Thomas and Kenneth.
Neal LeStrange| | Neal is a well-known fixture in Scotch Plains. A 25-year veteran of the Scotch Plains Police Department, Neal retired in 2006 as a Lieutenant and now advises corporations on security issues. |
- With his experience in both law enforcement and business, Neal has been a outspoken advocate for keeping residents safe while streamlining services to prevent needless duplication
- Neal is a member of the Union County 200 Club, The Union County Emerald Society, the Mountainside Elks, NJ State PBA, and a former member of the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad. He is also a former member of the St. Bart's softball league.
- Neal and his wife Jeanne, live with their daughter Elizabeth. Neal is also the proud step-father to James, Joanne, and Jenna.
Mickey Marcus| | Raised in Scotch Plains and a graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, Mickey takes pride in the fact that he marched in the Scotch Plains Memorial Day Parade as a youth and also as an adult with his own children. Interested in taking action to achieve real results for the citizens of Scotch Plains, Mickey is eager to end the partisan blame game and work to bring taxes under control. |
- Mickey has been a coach for the Scotch Plains Recreation Basketball League, an assistant coach in the town baseball league, and is an active member of the PTA and the SPFHS Blue Raider Athletic Booster Club.
- An accomplished attorney, Mickey has served as a prosecutor, litigator, and presently as corporate counsel to a clothing design and manufacturing company.
- Mickey and his wife Shari chose to raise their family in the same community he grew up in and where his parents still reside. Mickey and his wife have two children, Mitch and Amanda, who are students at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School
